History of the Bow Lake Community Club

The Bow Lake Grange Hall was originally built in 1829 by State Senator Benning W. Jenness as a steam operated mill. In 1876 the Grange was purchased by Daniel Woodman and became a community center for local clubs. Sadly she was lost to 2 fires, one in 1898 and again in 1920. Both times the community realized her importance and pulled together to rebuild her and she's still looking great today.

The Bow Lake Grange Hall serves as a graceful symbol of our past and at the same time is a function center for so many activities. In 1967 the Bow Lake Community Club was given the honor to become the care takers of the Grange Hall. Through the support of member's dues and donation and attendance at the many fund raising functions, we continue to provide community activities and entertainment as well as maintain and improve the Grange Hall.
